13 North Gallery proudly presents artists Russell Loue, Sara Luscher from Switzerland, and Michael Ryan in their September exhibition titled Identities. Each of these artists explores “Identity,” providing their audience with expressions of sexuality, culture, politics, and the human condition. While undoubtedly these artist’s identities are explored through their work, their own unique expressions push past ideas of the self and enter into a greater world-view of what identity is. Through allusion, metaphor, and sometimes a straightforward expression, these artists have created work that is thought provoking and sometimes humorous.
